Anthony Adjei Sowah Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Anthony Sowah joined Nationwide Medical Insurance in 2005 and has risen through the ranks to his current position. He has experience in hospital administration which has relevance to health insurance.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration (Accounting option) from the University of Ghana and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the same university.
Mr. Sowah has a part qualification from Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and has participated in several seminars and short courses in insurance, human resources, performance management systems, financial management and investments. He is responsible for general operations of NMI and coordinates activities of all units and departments of NMI especially human resource, general administration, financial reports, and stakeholder relations among others.
Nancy Ampah Chief Executive Officer
Mrs. Nancy Ampah has worked with Nationwide Medical Insurance for seven years having served formerly as the General Manager until her current role as the Chief Executive Officer.
She has extensive experience in research [School of Public Health] and health insurance
having worked with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) from its inception in senior management.
She has undertaken several short courses in project management, financial management, risk assessment and management, health insurance, leadership and governance. She has participated in several local and international conferences and
seminars on health insurance and is currently the Vice President of the Private Health Insurance Association of Ghana (PHIAG).
Mrs. Nancy Ampah holds Msc. Biological Science and an MBA [MIS Option]
She has been very instrumental in driving the business strategy of NMI which has earned us our current feat as the market leader.
She ensures that systems are maintained to improve standards relating to business activities, collaborate with heads of department to plan and manage departmental activities in accordance with policies, budgets, and timescales, contributes to executive policies and strategy formulation among others.
Daniel Gyasi Nyarko Manager, Management Information Systems
Mr. Daniel Gyasi-Nyarko is Head of the Management Information System (MIS) at Nationwide Medical Insurance. He joined NMI in 2008 having risen through the ranks to his current position. Prior to joining NMI, he worked with Clickspot, an IT consultancy.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Ashesi University College and a Master of Business Administration in Project Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). His in depth knowledge of health insurance and its operations made him actively involved in the deployment of a model software used by NMI as well as adding innovative modifications to existing applications. He has been very instrumental as a resource person in deploying also the famous RX claim software which now serves as industry software for efficient electronic claims management and member verification.
Daniel is responsible for the application of information systems to continuously improve business operations, efficiency and productivity, explore ways of improving business efficiency through technology application, manage and secure MIS infrastructure and database of the company among others.
Isaac Nartey Manager, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Isaac Nartey is in charge of new business, sales and marketing. He has served the company for eight years and has risen through the ranks to his current position.
He has extensive experience in marketing having worked for Somotex Ghana Ltd. and Electricity Company of Ghana.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Master of Arts Degree in Economic Policy Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He has also undertaken several short courses in sales & marketing; market research as well as client relations.
He is generally responsible for formulating sales and marketing strategies, carrying out market research and competitor analysis, managing relationships with customers ensure brand presence among others
